A husband beat his saleswoman wife yesterday – the second time in as many months – all because of an SMS she had sent.
The 27-year-old victim’s husband suspected her of having an extra-marital affair.
She was sending an SMS to a friend over the case of a missing five-year-old boy while watching the news on television when her husband grabbed the handphone from her.
The 28-year-old husband beat her and threatened her with a knife.
She then lodged a report.
On Feb 14, the victim suffered severe injuries when the husband beat her up for sending an SMS to her colleagues on the eve of Valentine's Day.
Her husband had suspected her of cheating on him after apparently seeing her having a drink with another man.
The case is pending in court.
