Biarlah Bulan Bicara

A few days ago, this song make its way into my mind. Facinated by the song's chorus, I've added this song to my playlist. Enjoy the serenity and melody of this song.......

Wednesday, November 26, 2008

Biarlah Bulan Bicara

Biarlah Bulan Bicara

Bulan sabit
Yang jatuh dipelataran
Bintang redup
Tanpa cahaya gemintang
Langkah tanpa arah
Sesat di jalan yang terang
Aku yang terlena dibuai pelukan dosa

Chorus:
Ingin pulang membalut luka hatimu
Ku pun tahu betapa pedih batinmu
Beri kesempatan atau jatuhkan hukuman
Andai maaf pun tak kau berikan

Air mata tulus jatuh di sudut bibir mu
Tak terlintas dendam di bening mata indah mu
Aku yang merasa sangat berdosa pada mu
Masih pantaskah mendampingi mu

Biarlah bulan bicara sendiri
Biarlah bintangkan jadi saksi
Tak kan kuulangi walau sampai akhir nanti
Cukup derita sampai disini

Tasik Dayang Bunting....and the Dayang....

Two female train drivers take their jobs seriously and prove sceptics wrong

By FAZLEENA AZIZ-The Star

WHAT started out as a challenge became a passion for RapidKL customer transit officer (CTO) Nur Farhana Rahmat, who is one the two female train drivers for the Ampang Line.

Farhana, 26, who is into her second year as a CTO faced criticism initially.

“I beg to differ because gender is not an obstacle to do anything.

“If you are interested in pursuing something that is out of the norm or dominated by men, you have to prove the sceptics wrong.

“I like a job that is challenging and my first day as a CTO was scary as I was still trying to get used to the instructions given.

“Our main priority is the safety of passengers and this is a big responsibility.

“We have to undergo a three-month training course where we learn how to drive as well as about the specs and train system.

“We have to be prepared in case of an emergency and know how to inform passengers, drop them off safely and follow instructions from the control centre.

“In this job, there are times when passengers are sceptical about women drivers but you have to be focused on your job.

All set: Farhana getting ready to transport the passengers from the Ampang station.

“However, there are moments when people acknowledge us as competent drivers,” Farhana said.

She said her mother was her greatest supporter.

For Sutina Johari, becoming a CTO was a chance of a lifetime.

“The difference between driving a train and a car is the huge responsibility of having 1,200 people depending on you to get them safely to their destination.

“I think anybody can do this job but they must be responsible,’’ said Sutina, 23.

“We have to ensure that the passengers are also comfortable, especially after a hard day’s work.

“We have to make sure that no one gets caught between the doors and the passengers get inside safely.

“The braking system and the doors are not automatic, so we have to be alert.

“Not many women are aware of this job or maybe they are not ready to take on the risk.

“I did face scepticism and criticism from my fellow colleagues initially and they questioned my ability because I was a woman.

“But I guess they are just so used to being around men and perhaps felt threatened.

“I took all this in my stride,’’ said Sutina.

Currently RapidKL has 114 CTOs, who go through compulsory training conducted by a professional trainer.

Out to get more......

Dato Shah Rukh Khan

I would like to put something up about our new datuk. Datuk Shah Rukh Khan. Another blunder datuk of Malacca. Come to think of it, there is no sane senses about this honorific status being given to someone who is undoubtly someone but not that kind of someone who is eligible to be honour with such honour of honouring that kind of someone. This is getting me nowhere near to what I really want to say here.

But three cheers to Ali RUSTam. NO, I don't understand why they still keep him there. I've said this before, after the March Elections, and I'm saying it again. At least politician like Sanusi Junid made sense when they propose something. It is interesting to read posting of many bloggers who seem to be very mindful of this stupidousia.

One of them - news from The Star.. read below

The controversy surrounding the conferment of an honorific title upon Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan continues unabated. Malaysian artistes had expressed shock and disappointment over this matter.

The Malaysian Artistes Association (Seniman) chairman Datuk Mustapha Maarof told The Star that ‘the intention to award the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka to the actor should have been referred to Finas to determine his eligibility’.

“It is their right to award the title. But we hope the selection of recipients should have been properly considered first. State governments should ensure their awards are given out to only the most qualified candidates or the awards will lose their prestige,” he said in a press conference.

He also named Azean Irdawaty, M. Nasir, Kuswadinata and Ruminah Sidek as artistes deserving to receive the Datukship. He added it was an insult to Malaysians that Shah Rukh Khan did not turn up to accept the award.

Next:From StarBlog.......

Dato Shah Rukh Khan
Posted by: keetawa(I like this name)

Why are there so much excitements over the conferment of Datoship to a Bollywood Actor ? At least he is known by more people than those who know Malaysian actors or actresses? With the exception of perhaps our martial art girl from Ipoh : Michelle Yeoh ?

Why give Datoship to those who would not even deserve some write up in the newspapers? The newspapers will not write something about us even if Datoship is given to people like you or me? At least some girls and men would queve up to see SRK in town ?

May be Filem Negara can feature Shah Rukh Khan dancing from the Dutch designed buildings down to Formosa then up the Bukit China, than down to Melaka River and meet some pirates there? Bollywood story writers may write the excitement on Dato's face when he was informed of the conferment or bewilderment? He could jump into one of AirAsia's latest Airbuses with Tony Fernandez in the pilot seat with a gang of Bollywood dancers dancing from inside the airplane, along the aisle etc, and on arrival at / down at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal [in Malacca?], and thereafter, have a glass of teh tarik, [sponsorship of Boh Tea] etc.

And he would have worn a 'VISIT MALACCA' t-shirt once he walks down from the Airbus.

Perhaps the Malacca Chief Minister who proposed the datoship for SRK will like Shah Rukh Khan to come here before the UMNO election so as to help him get extra votes? Can SRK wear a T-shirt with the CM's photograph plus, Undilah saya!

Any more innovation to add to bring fame to Malacca at no costs or minimal costs? At least the Chief Minister is proud to have few days of news about him and Melaka. Afterall the CM has not paid anybody any publicity money for that?! SRK's name generate good will and publicity for Malacca automatically. Good works, no fee has been given. Good marketing.

Look at the Datoship with an open mind. The proposer may have hidden agenda.

These few days of blogs on SRK prove that the CM had been correct, at least publicity / exposure wise.

Do treat conferment of Datoship as a marketing tool and a public relations exercise. Time has changed.

Well look at it on the lighter side ... now we can call ALL Melaka Datuks a BOLLOWOOD DATUK

By matricx, 14-Oct-2008

I fully agree, why not give the Orang utan in the Visit Malaysia poster a Datukship for his role in promoting Malaysia? Maybe he can dance with Shahrukh up and down the aisle of the Parliament, how about that? cheers.

By eltoro61, 14-Oct-2008

It very simple equation. Don't you watch Bollywood award shows? This year in Zee Awards... some Dubai real estate bigwig awarded SRK with a 'Lifestyle Icon Award'. If you had watched his reaction, he was totally puzzled and in his acceptance speech he said though he didn't 'get it', he promised to make good out of the award. Ok, we all know that this fella can't act but he happens to have the touch. So a few months later.. SRK launches his mega real estate venture.. SRK Boulevard and is currently venturing into Dubai properties.. big time. So our simple simons in Melaka put 2+2=5 lah.. considering Melaka's jaded past and faltering tourism.. maybe they are just hoping an SRK touch will give them the boost.

By kaleiselvi71, 14-Oct-2008

HAHAHA WELL SAID TO ALL THIS MORON'S!!!!
By kumarz, 14-Oct-2008

Yes, there was a lot of publicity regarding the "Datoship". But the publicity has only focused on Shah Rukh Khan not on Malacca or Malaysia. It has only made SRK more famous. His not coming over to Malacca to receive the award is a minus point in promoting Malacca. There are more deserving recipients from Malacca.
The conferment of the "Datoship" must be based on past deeds and contributions to Malacca or Malaysia not on the hope of "future deeds".

By wongfeihoong, 14-Oct-2008

with the current global economy, people like this still think for thing like this. how you expect from this kind of people bring malaysia to where? Holand lah. I try to avoid call him as leader because he is far from deserve it. remember " No need Chinese vote". Even if he really no need chinese vote, as a respective people, also no need to say it lah. no even know the foundamental of being a positive person. Shame on him.

Aisyah - Pulanglah

hm hm hmm

Sayang..
Di Hari Yang Mulia Ini
Ku Pohon Keampunan
Hanya Satu Yang Ku Pinta
Pulanglah..

Termenung Ku Sendiri
Memendam Rindu Tidak Menentu
Kasih Suci Murni Yang Kita Bina
Hapus Hancur Oleh Kata Fitnah

Di Pagi Hari Raya
Hati Sayu Mengenang Dirimu
Mudahnya Kau Menggantikan Diriku
Seolah Cintaku Tak Berharga

[Chrous]

Apakah Suratan
Aidilfitri Suatu Titik Akhir
Sekian Lama Bercinta
Kau Tiada Di Hari Mulia

Keampunan Ku Pohon
Sekiranya Aku Yang Berdosa
Pulanglah Ku Merindui Mu Sayang
Ku Menanti Dengan Hati Rela/jiwa raga

Pulanglah Kepangkuan Ku Oh… Sayang
Ku Menunggu Mu Di Hari Raya

Tazkirah 1

Solat di tiga buah masjid
Hadith :
"Dari Abu Hurairah, r.a. dari Nabi s.a.w. sabdanya: "Tidak sepatutnya (bersusah payah) keluar belayar (untuk menziarahi mana-mana masjid kecuali (untuk pergi) ketiga-tiga masjid (yang berikut): Masjidil Haram (di Mekah), dan masjid Rasulullah s.a.w. (di Madinah) serta Masjid al-Aqsa (di Palestin)" (Bukhari)

i. Masjidil Haram di Mekah
ii. Masjid Nabi di Madinah
iii Masjidil al-Aqsa di Palestin.

3. Diantara fadhilat-fadhilatnya ialah:

Tazkirah 2

Doa Adalah Intipati Kepada Segala Ibadah
Hadith:
Lantas seorang lelaki berkata: "Kalau begitu kita perbanyakkan doa? Jawab baginda: " Di sisi Allah (penerimaan) lebih banyak." (Riwayat at-Tirmizi)

Pengajaran hadith:

Hadith :
Daripada Ummu Salamah r.a. katanya, aku mendengar Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda, "Apabila seseorang itu ditimpa bencana, maka hendaklah ia mengucapkan: (Sesungguhnya kita datang dari Allah dan kepadanya kita kembali, Ya Allah berikanlah ganjaran kerana musibah ini, berikanlah aku pengganti yang lebih baik daripadanya) nescaya Allah SWT memberi ganjaran kepadanya kerana bencana tersebut dan menggantikan kepadanya yang lebih baik daripadanya, Ummu Salamah berkata lagi: "Semasa Abu Salamah meninggal dunia aku mengucapkan sepertimana yang diperintahkan oleh Rasulullah s.a.w. kepadaku, lalu Allah Taala menggantikan kepadanya (Ummu Salamah) seorang yang lebih baik daripada Abu Salamah (menjadi suaminya) iaitu Rasulullah s.a.w." (Muslim)

Tazkirah 4

Beberapa larangan Rasulullah s.a.w
Hadith :

Nabi Sulaiman a.s terdiam dan terus bersujud.

Bergegaslah Nabi Sulaiman mencari tetamunya tadi.

"Lalu, kenapa Dia menegurmu?"

"Saksikanlah, wahai Sulaiman! Orang itu memeluk nabi Sulaiman a.s.

(Riwayat al-Bukhari)

Huraian

Menahan marah
Hadith:
Daripada Abu Hurairah r.a. bahawasanya seorang lelaki berkata kepada Nabi s.a.w." Berwasiatlah kepadaku, "Lalu Nabi s.a.w menjawab: "Janganlah engkau menjadi seorang yang pemarah." Orang itu mengulangi permintaan beberapa kali, Nabi s.a.w menjawab: "Janganlah engkau menjadi seorang yang pemarah." (Riwayat Al-Bukhari)

Huraian

Tazkirah 14

Punca Segala Bencana
Hadith: Dari Abu Hurairah r.a katanya, Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda:"Kelak bumi akan memuntahkan jantung hatinya berupa tiang-tiang emas dan perak. Maka datanglah seorang pembunuh seraya berkata:"Kerana inilah aku jadi pembunuh. Kemudian datang pula si perompak, lalu berkata:"Kerana inilah aku putuskan hubungan silaturrahim. Kemudian datang pula si pencuri seraya berkata:"Kerana inilah tanganku dipotong" Sesudah itu mereka tinggalkan sahaja harta kekayaan itu, tiada mereka mengambilnya sedikitpun." (Muslim)

Huraian
(Muslim)

Rahmat Allah

I've got a Playlist, ha ha

There's 3 songs in my playlist, namely from Sanisah Huri - I ADORE her, and I manage to get only this raya song, which is quite a sad song and that doesn't matter to me becoz, she's here for her voice..... and herself particularly.

The second song is a real favourite. The singer, a famous and well-known but as usual the well-knowns always got married to old men... ha ha ... tapi itu rezeki die kan? Anyway its not about liking the song.... it's more to it that just that....
but lets just go to the next song.

Recently added to my favourite....
The first time I heard this song, it already captured my attention and curious about it, I search the internet. After listening to more than 200 arabic song, I did come accross, this familiar tune of enta eih... and there I got it, Nancy Ajram, the person, the video clip, the lyrics, and the meaning of the lyrics. And now I have ringtones made out of it. The song now being played on cd player, at home, office and while driving.

What a life when such beautiful songs turn themselves into theraphical language..... and set you on a journey of tranquility....

But with the month of Ramadhan, its best to listen to Quran recitals and maybe read it yourself..... Its already the 20th day of fasting and looking forward to more of al mubaraks....

Enjoy while the playlist is here....

Another Mess To Clean Up

China's milk scandal: The baby who couldn't grow

SHIJIAZHUANG, CHINA–In the late afternoon light outside this city's Children's Hospital, grandmother Guo Xiuxia cradles her 10-month-old grandson in her arms and holds him close.

Lang Zitong, a beautiful bright-eyed boy who weighs just 15 pounds is one of the lucky ones. Like thousands of children caught up in China's toxic baby formula scandal, he too has been diagnosed with potentially lethal kidney stones – but doctors say he's expected to survive.

"He has stones in both kidneys," said grandfather Lang Shujing, clutching a computerized printout from an ultrasound examination. "But they say the stones are small and it's not too serious. He should be fine."

Others might not be.

China's health minister revealed yesterday that more than 6,250 infants are now carrying kidney stones after drinking Chinese baby formula laced with melamine – a chemical used in plastics and glue. Nearly 160 of those are suffering "acute kidney failure."

The minister, Chen Zhu, also announced the scandal's third death, giving few details.

Early today, authorities arrested 12 more people in connection with the scandal, said Shi Guizhong, spokesperson for the Hebei provincial police. The official said that brought the overall total detained to 18.

Police also confiscated nearly 225 kilos of melamine, the industrial chemical added to milk powder that has ignited a widening food safety crisis.

In a clear signal of high-level concern, Premier Wen Jiabao convened a cabinet meeting to discuss plans for a nationwide inspection of all milk products. Before the day was done, four more dairy companies including China's largest, Mengniu, and Olympic sponsor Yili, announced recalls bringing the number of companies issuing recalls to five.

Government tests of baby formula have confirmed 22 companies used melamine – 20 per cent of all companies in China producing formula – so further recalls may be expected.

China appears to fear the worst.

Here in this company town about 300 kilometres south of Beijing – a town that is headquarters to the Sanlu Group, a dairy firm that has publicly confessed its guilt – there was turmoil yesterday.

Sanlu offices were swamped with grim-faced parents lugging in boxes of unused Sanlu formula in search of refunds, as well as advice on what to do with their children.

Hundreds of parents packed into the company's main courtyard beneath a towering sign that read: "Manufacture Quality Dairy: Serve the People."

Across town hospital hallways were clogged with parents who had come to have their infants tested for kidney problems.

Shijiazhuang has been rocked by the scandal: the mayor and deputy mayor have been fired, as have two quality supervisors, the local head of the central government's quality inspection office – and Sanlu's chair of the board, Tian Wenhua.

Last night state news agency Xinhua said police had taken Tian into custody.

But the problems of the parents were far more acute.

Little Lang Zitong's grandparents and his mother, Yin Guichun, said they were worried sick when they heard about Sanlu's tainted baby formula. The 10-month-old had been drinking it every day.

"It's because of this milk powder that our children have suffered so much," grandfather Lang Shujing complained.

"He often cries – sometimes deep into the night."

With more brands being dragged into the scandal and recalls clearing the shelves, the family's key concern now is what do they feed him?

"We had just bought several bags of Yili formula," the boy's grandmother explained. "And now we learn Yili also has a problem.

"He's such a small baby," she said. "What kinds of food is he supposed to eat?"

A doctor's note says the infant isn't to have any formula at all – only water, and perhaps soybean drink.

Two days of tests for Zitong have cost more than 200 yuan (about $31.25), they say, a sizeable sum in China.

"He has only had Sanlu since he was born," his mother said. "I think Sanlu should pay for our medical expenses," she reasoned.

On the other side of town in front of Sanlu's headquarters, 25-year-old mother Qin Chunyan said that from the moment she learned about the contamination on the Internet, she was worried about her 6-month-old son, Zhou Qingxi.

"I was really very afraid," she said. "How couldn't I be? He had been drinking it for four months."

Nearby, Zhao Xiaopu, 27, held her sleeping 3-month-old son Li Hangda in her arms.

"It seems all the formulas have a problem now," she said. "My only hope is that the government can tell us which brand is problem free – and safe to drink. I want my baby boy to have safe baby formula."

Grilled terubok to pamper your taste buds

Perfect grill: Trader Awang Jamari Awang Sulong selling grilled terubok fish at the Satok Ramadan Bazaar in Kuching yesterday. This delicacy is much sought after, especially during the fasting month.

A story from KUCHING: Spicy aromas and smoke from charcoal grills fill the air at the crowded Satok Ramadan bazaar here.

Near the entrance of the bazaar, several stalls offer grilled stingray, cuttlefish, chicken and “terubok” (a local fish), all cooked over charcoal fires.

Hawker Awang Jamari Awang Sulong, who has been selling “terubok” at the bazaar for years, said the fish was seasoned with turmeric and salt before being speared with bamboo sticks to be grilled.

He sells the “terubok” at RM12-RM14 each if it does not have roe while the ones with roe are priced at RM30-RM35.

Two stalls away, another hawker sells cuttlefish and stingray panfried on banana leaves.

A popular local delicacy which can be found at the bazaar is “tapai madu”, fermented rice cakes sweetened with honey and wrapped in nipah leaves.

Priced at 25sen each, it is one of the fastest-selling items in the bazaar.

Apart from tapai, all kinds of snacks and kuih can also be found at the bazaar as well as rice dishes, “bubur lambok” (porridge) and soup.

Awkward but it happened!

I cannot help, but feel pity for this lady and the ordeal she has to go through. A once in a lifetime story I assume it ought to be.

Malaysian spends 11 months at depot for illegals
By C.S. NATHAN

SEREMBAN: Young mother M. Rajeshvari spent 11 agonising months at the Lenggeng Immigration depot for illegals – all because she could not recall her identity card number and was not fluent in Bahasa Malaysia.

The 22-year-old, who was six months pregnant then, was waiting for a relative at a coffeeshop in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, when a raiding police party asked to see her identification card. She could not because she had lost it. Worse, she also forgot the IC number.

With only primary school education and speaking a smattering of Bahasa Malaysia, she failed to convince the authorities she was Malaysian. They suspected her to be a Sri Lankan immigrant.

Recalling bad memories: Rajeshvari talking about her experience at the Lenggeng Immigration depot. With her is her son Logekali and Raju.
Making matters worse, she could only give the officers sketchy details of her background.

Rajeshvari, who is from Penang and was jobless when she was detained, was later produced in court and eventually sent to the depot in Lenggeng in October last year.

She was unable to seek help from relatives because of estranged family ties. Her family members also did not attempt to look for her.

She was finally released from the detention camp on Friday evening, carrying her 10-month-old son Logekali.

Rajeshvari’s lucky release happened because a staff member at a clinic where Logekali was treated for food poisoning last week had alerted Malaysian Indian Youth Council vice-president Andrew Raju.

“After my arrest, I kept telling the authorities I was Malaysian but no one believed me,” said a tearful Rajeshvari.

Raju, when met outside the depot, said the officers did not pursue her case further as Rajeshvari could not give the right IC number or her parents’ address.

“In the beginning, I also had a hard time checking her out because the information she gave turned out to be dead ends, until she recalled her primary school,” he said.

Raju then contacted the school’s principal in Kampar in Perak, who managed to trace Rajeshvari’s birth certificate number.

Raju then went to the National Registration Department in Putrajaya to get a letter confirming Rajeshvari’s citizenship.

“It has been stressful running around to the various departments. But it is worth it when both mother and son are finally free,” he said.

Rajeshvari said she wanted to put the nightmare behind and start afresh with her baby.

Safe and sound: Rajeshvari, 22, holding her son Logekali after she was released from the Lenggeng Immigration depot on Friday.

Family wants Rajeshvari home
By C.S. NATHAN

SEREMBAN: M. Rajeshvari, who was freed last Friday after being wrongfully detained in an immigration depot for 11 months, caused a scare when her family could not locate her over the weekend.

However, Malaysian Indian Youth Council vice-president Andrew Raju, who helped free Rajeshvari, finally got hold of her yesterday.

Rajeshvari, he said, told him she was staying with friends but stressed that she was not ready to meet anyone, even her family.

Her family members have been looking for the 22-year-old after her story appeared in Sunday Star.

Her father, who only wanted to be identified as Murugiah, had been worried about her whereabouts.

When contacted in Kampar yesterday, Murugiah, a driver for Perak Unity and National Integration and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman and Keranji assemblyman Chen Fook Chye, said: “I just want to find my daughter. She has been missing for so long.”

His wife Parameswari, 47, and daughter Vigneswari, 26, are in Kuala Lumpur to look for Rajeshvari.

Sunday Star reported that Rajeshvari spent 11 months at the Lenggeng immigration depot for illegals because she could not remember her identity card number when police raided a coffee shop in Kuala Lumpur last October.

Rajeshvari, who was also not fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, was detained on suspicion of being a Sri Lankan illegal.

She was six months’ pregnant at the time and gave birth to a boy while in detention.

Earlier, Vigneswari said her sister left home two years ago and the family believed that she had been living in Sungei Besi.

She said her sister stopped schooling at 13 while in the Remove Class.

“We heard she got married in Kuala Lumpur but we were shocked to read her story.”

This Ahmad......

The debate is getting hotter by the day. I never thought that the issue of Ahmad Ismail will go beyond the Permatang Pauh by-election, much the same with the swearing of that saifool. But as always, its typical of Malaysian to live their lives with issues. If one issues dies down, another will crop up. In a way this particular Ahmad has made a name for himself. By calling others of making alegation at him, the war with the chinese community has gone to the level of breaking up the coalition. Wonder whose side is he on to. Looking at the advantage its going to give his enemy the grand harvest, while he and the party his with is going to lose everything.

Wonder why he talks about Tsu Koon's taichi and the malays are good at silat. He must be stupid to utter such words. All this episode happen with the whole state UmNo behind him. A big question mark is developing now since the PM himself is from Penang UmNo. A sabo to Pak Lah???

One More .........

The first time I was informed that he was admitted at the hospital in Seberang Jaya, I feel so tensed sensing that something must be terribly wrong. It was 3.30 in the morning and Akmal knock on my door to informed me that his mum called and said Pak Ngah has been warded. After phoning my wife, I learned that his daughter contact her and through sobbing voice conveying the inconvenience news.

Sleep than takes the last priority at that time. I was lucky when Akmal wanted to follow me to the hospital.

There he was on the hospital ICU bed, with a big tube which goes into his throat plus other wires and tubes on his body. The sight of him heavily breathing through the help of a breathing machine with the beeping sound from several monitors around his bed doesn’t seem good to me.

The best that I could do then was just to stare at him, hold his hand, or some rubbing of his feet. The prayer said then was more of hopeful thought that the Almighty give him some more time so that he could marry his daughter who was already engaged in a few months time.

The prayers seems to be answered when on the fourth day, I was happy to see him sitting up and taking in some food, while 3 days ago, there was just some movement of hands and feet only, and they feed him through a tube down his throat.

A week after that he was discharged from the hospital and seems to be in good health. But that lasted only for four days. They don’t wait so long to get him to the hospital and this time they found the problem, and it was his kidney which has not been fuctioning well. The doctors performed dialysis on him, and have both side of his chest poked through to extract excess water in the lung, which was causing him breathing difficulties. When all these were done, he looks better and more energetic.

This time he lasted more than a week at home. It was enough a time to receive a delegation from his would be son in law, which came to discuss the wedding and the solemnization date. He look cheerful that day, and everyone inclucing me did not give a single hitch that he won’t be around to perform his part as a wali when the day comes.

Though precautions were taken including taking the pills and treatment of dialysis three times a week, he seem to be puffing out of breath again. His body is getting weak and at the same time he doesn’t seem to have the energy to walk a mere two to three meters. I became worried to know that the doctor told him his heart his okay, his lungs are clear, and they don’t know what is really wrong with him.

Since then he has been going in and out of the hospital several times. Some of the hospital admission was informed to others, while some was not. His family thought that it would be a disturbance to inform other family members since it seems quite casual of him to be warded these days.

19th August 2008

Although he was weak he did came over to see the preparations for Hilmi’s akad-nikah the night before the marriage solemnization. That was the last I saw of him.

28th August 2008

The last I heard of him was when my brother, Ali, phone me to inform me that he just got the message that he was again admitted to hospital after dialysis treatment at Perda. The staff of the dialysis centre sent him by ambulance to Bukit Mertajam Hospital. It was already nightime and quite late for a visit. Thinking that he might survive as usual, I let off my thinking to other areas of interest in my daily life, planning to see him tomorrow.

29th August 2008

After Friday prayers the news came. Hilmi answered the call, and breathlessly inform us that Pak Ngah has just passed away. An awkward feeling engulfed me. Its neither depressed nor helplessness, a vacuum hollow empty feeling like.

It has happened again today. . . . . .

I’ve just lost two brothers in a row?

Al-Fatihah to Md Zain bin Md Ibrahim. A good brother who has sacrifice a lot to see that the family go through a better life during my younger days. May Allah blessed him and place his soul among the Solihins, the Ambiyas and the faithfuls. Amin.

Chong Wei - Beyond Race, Beyond Colour........

Victory leap Lee Chong Wei jumping towards his coach Misbun Sidek after beating South Korea’s Lee Hyun-il in the Beijing Olympics badminton men’s singles semi-final to assure himself of at least a silver medal in the Games. Chong Wei won 21-18, 13-21, 21-13. He will become the first Malaysian Olympics medallist since 1996. — KAMARUL ARIFFIN / The Star

Almost half the country were sitting in upright position while Lee Chong Wei was trying to win the badminton singles quater-finals match against a Korean the other night. The triumping victory was shared by all Malaysians regardless of race, culture, religion or colour. But the kissing of the small Malaysian flag on his shirt, several times, had made me realise how truly a Malaysian was this man. The jumping of joy and a bear hug on his coach was nonetheless the most beautiful sight too. But the same day ada sumpah perdana by one Saifool, and many I think were fooled again this time. To them Lee Chong Wei is just about badminton and Saifool was probably their life.

But I'll just cut short here........have promised myself not to involve in this anymore.

So let's read the following news article from TheStar, Saturday August 16, 2008

LEE Chong Wei made history when he became the first Malaysian badminton singles player to reach an Olympic final at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium last night.

The 26-year-old made sure Malaysia will return home with at least a silver medal after barren outings at the last two Olympics by battling past South Korean Lee Hyun-il 21-18, 13-21, 21-13 in the semi-finals.

Chong Wei has now bettered Rashid Sidek’s bronze medal achievement at the Atlanta Games in 1996.

The men’s doubles pair of Cheah Soon Kit-Yap Kim Hock also delivered a silver medal for Malaysia that year but tomorrow, Chong Wei has a chance to go one step better when he takes on top seed Lin Dan of China, who beat compatriot Chen Jin 21-12, 21-18.

But that mouth-watering finale almost didn't happened as Hyun-il gave the Malaysian some anxious moments.

Chong Wei gained early control but Hyun-il caught up to 18-20.

But the Malaysian earned victory when his rival lobbed the shuttle wide.

Hyun-il, winner of the Korean and German Opens this year, turned on the power in the second game when he won 11 points in a row to eventually force the match into the rubber game.

In the decided, Chong Wei led 8-1 before the tenacious Korean clawed his way back to 11-15.

But Chong Wei, spurred on by shouts of Malaysia Boleh from the pockets of Malaysian supporters, regained the big lead again.

At 19-11, Chong Wei knew he was on the brink of a famous and historic win.

And when he did get the winning point, Chong Wei collapsed to the ground in sheer joy and relief.

He then got up, ran over and jumped onto his coach Misbun Sidek’s arms.

“The huge pressure is off me! I have made sure of winning at least an Olympic medal. I dedicate this to my coach, who gave everything to prepare me for these Games,” said Chong Wei, who only reached the second round in his Olympic debut in Athens four years ago.

“I knew Hyun-il would not be an easy opponent because he has beaten the top players before. But I pulled it off.”

On losing second game, Chong Wei said he just could not keep up with his opponent.

“He played at a very fast pace and I could not follow him. I made mistakes and I just prepared myself for the final game,” said Chong Wei, who now has a shot at the RM1mil incentive that has been promised by the government for any athlete who returns with an Olympic gold medal.

But more than that, it is his chance to gain Malaysian sporting immortality and bag what many athletes can only dream of.

The partisan crowd will be on Lin Dan’s side tomorrow but one thing is for sure, Malaysians can expect Chong Wei to go all out to bring home Malaysia’s first Olympic gold medal.

As he simply puts it: “I’ll play with my life.”

An ear for words By LYDIA TEH

Extracted from TheStar 13th August 2008

EH Poh Nim was in the auditorium of the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas with Jane to attend a performance by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. They had taken their seats and were watching people file in.

“This is my first time here,” Jane whispered excitedly. “I hope I don’t fall asleep.”

“Today’s repertoire is easy on the ear. The music will be pleasant to listen to.”

“Mmm ? that’s what I’m afraid of. Pinch me if I doze off, okay?” Jane said.

The concert began on time. Ten minutes into it, a young man in front of them started whispering loudly to his companion.

“Ssshhhh!” The neighbours shushed him up. He fell silent. Five minutes later, he piped up again.

Eh Poh Nim leaned forward and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around. “Excuse me,” she said, “we’d like to listen to the music without any noise pollution, please. Do you mind?”

The young man shut his mouth.

“I think he has nothing between his ears,” Eh Poh Nim whispered into Jane’s ears.

“You mean he’s stupid?” Jane asked a tad louder than she had intended.

The young man turned back and glared at them.

Peace reigned till intermission. Then the young man approached Eh Poh Nim. “I’d like a word with you,” he said.

“I’m all ears,” Eh Poh Nim said.

“You’d better listen carefully because I’m going to say this once. Bitch!” Then he raised his hand to hit her.

Eh Poh Nim’s reflex was fast. She managed to duck out of the way. Jane screamed and dragged her away from the man as his companion tried to restrain him.

“Stop it, Mark, or you’ll get a thick ear!” the older woman scolded. “Now sit down!”

He complied.

Eh Poh Nim and Jane escaped to the foyer. “Are you all right?” Jane asked. “I can’t believe there are such uncivilised people in a place like this.”

“Hmmmm ? this is supposed to be a place of refined culture, right? It’s a good thing I was able to dodge him. Somehow, I had a hunch he was going to hit me. That guy has spoilt my mood for the concert. Shall we go?”

“I don’t mind. This sort of thing is not really my cup of tea, anyway,” Jane said, heading towards the staircase.

“You’ve got a tin ear, do you?”

“What’s that?”

“Someone who has a tin ear can’t appreciate music,” Eh Poh Nim explained.

“That young man who tried to hit you, what’s his name – Mark? He’s the one with the tin ear. I wonder if that was his girlfriend. She’s much older than him, and did you see how he obeyed her immediately when she ordered him to sit?”

“She could be his sister. I see some resemblance between them. On hindsight, I should’ve turned a deaf ear to him. If I’d ignored him, others would have shut him up soon enough. I should’ve known better. He looks like he’s wet behind the ears.”

“Really? Did he put so much hair gel that it dripped down his ears?” Jane asked.

Eh Poh Nim chuckled. “That’s an expression for being young and inexperienced. Mark’s ears must be burning, the way we’re talking about him.”

“Okay, what should we do now?” Jane asked.

“We’ll play it by ear. But first, let’s go grab a bite.” Eh Poh Nim led the way to the mall food court.

“I didn’t know you could play the piano,” Jane said.

“I don’t. Oh, you thought I could play the piano by ear? When I said we’ll play it by ear, I meant we don’t have a plan of action and we’ll decide what to do as things happen. The other meaning of the phrase is being able to play a song according to how it sounds, rather than from a written score. Do you play the piano?”

“No. But John does. His mother forced him to take lessons when he was a kid.”

“Your husband plays the piano? I can’t believe my ears.”

“When we were courting, I was very surprised when he told me he could play the piano. I thought he was pulling my leg until he brought me to his house and played ‘Love Is A Many Splendoured Thing’. It sounded like music to my ears.”

“Er, Jane. You didn’t use that expression correctly. Something that sounds like music to your ears is not literally music but something that’s pleasing to hear about. For example, if I hear that the security guards have ejected that angry young man for causing a ruckus at the concert, now that would be music to my ears!”

What' the story Zan?

Norzahizan Ismail has been awarded RM71,128 by the Industrial Court for wrongful dismissal

GEORGE TOWN: A former Utusan Melayu journalist has been awarded RM71,128 by the Industrial Court for wrongful dismissal.

The court also ordered the newspaper company, Utusan Melayu (Malaysia) Bhd, to reinstate Norzahizan Ismail within 60 days.

In his 54-page judgment, Industrial Court chairman Mohd Amin Firdaus Abdullah found that Norzahizan's dismissal was done in bad faith and without just cause or excuse.

Mohd Amin ruled that the company had also failed to prove all three charges against Norzahizan.

Norzahizan, who was dismissed on Sept 15, 2004, was found guilty by the newspaper's internal inquiry of three charges:

- Disobeying her superior's orders to give coverage for an Asia-Pacific event by filing only a caption story of the event;

- Failing to complete her assignment after attending a press conference for the Commonwealth Tourism Ministers Conference; and,

- Failing to complete another assignment on a health-related article.

Mohd Amin found that there were inaccuracies in the typewritten notes of the internal inquiry.

In addition, he also found that a proper or valid domestic inquiry was not held.

He said ultimately the company failed to establish a prima facie case against Norzahizan, who had been working for the newspaper since March 3, 1997.

Mohd Amin ordered the company to pay a total of RM71,128 in backwages and monthly transport allowance as well as an exemplary award as the dismissal was without just cause or excuse.

Norzahizan was represented by Jagdeep Singh Deo while the company was represented by S. Benjamin.

After the hearing, Norzahizan said she was happy at being reinstated.

"I plan to quit my present job as a corporate communications manager in a college and rejoin Utusan Melayu.

"When I was dismissed, I felt demoralised and even depressed at one point," she said.

NISFU SYAABAN

One good thing about these people, they always look healthy, tak nampak letih sikit pun.

Nisfu dlm bahasa arab beerti setengah. Nisfu Syaaban beerti setengah bulan Syaaban.

Setelah Baginda saw selesai sembahyang, Baginda berkata kpd Saiyidatina Aisyah r.a.

AL-FATIHAH

Maybe it was fated, yes it was fated alright... That fateful Saturday morning, he got up early. Eager to go home, took his shower, had a clean shave, dress-up and posed for prayer. Supposed to be discharged by 10 a.m.

As his usual self, the neighbours in neighbouring beds saw how happy he was that morning. Moving around with the dripper stand beside him, he never shows worriedness nor anxiety or even fear, less the emotion of pain that builds up in his chest.

Weeks before that, the feeling of uneasiness mushroomed his thought. He knew something is not right. The chest pain, the left hand getting weaker each day and difficulty in breathing has weakend him. He needs rest but the hectic days never gave him the opportunity of getting it.

So off to the hospital he went not only to get treatment but primarily to rest. His brother is already there in bed at the ICU. He made it clear to his children not to informed others of his being warded at the hospital to minimise obstruction of the rest he really needs.

True to his knowledge, he felt better after a week. But going home, has become no easy task. The pain, the sickness, greet him again and after three days he gave up and drive this time straight to the General Hospital (GH).

The doctors told him they will do whatever they can and describe the best possible treatment. Visitors were told by him that the operation that he is going through is normal. No problems will arise, and he is going to get the best doctor available in GH. So the visitors left with a very high expection that this man will survive easily.

Fate has its own way of making simple occasion into a history. The operating theater at the GH is under major renovation. They have that facility at the nearest hospital in Alor Star only. The movement, the personnel and those involve was noted down and carefully planned. Monday, 21st July was chosen as the Sultanah Bahayah Hospital would be ready to receive the patient and its group staff of doctors and nurses. And so off they went that morning.

The operation went on at four p.m. and ended at around 7 pm. A PTCA was performed on him but along the way they found he had five blocks and one of them is 100 percent. That is not good news according to the doctors. But crossing their fingers, they ask the family members present to pray for the best. The doctors after going through a vigorous time of checking all the readings which goes by the minute, only declared the next day that the patient is responding normally, and the operation was a success, but still the monitoring has to go on.

Others were informed of the success, and all are happy. Till the very last minute, the happiness was still there. Most are anxious to visit him at his home. The waiting was shortlived however.

Saturday : 26th July

The news came at around 9.30 am that he has passed away before 9 a.m. that day. The shocking news was hard to absord. The chair next to where I was standing cushioned me when I suddenly knew I've lost another brother.

Though hard to swallow, life has to go on.....

AL-FATIHAH TO MD YUSOFF BIN MD IBRAHIM, MAY ALLAH BLESSED HIS SOUL AND PLACE HIM AMONG THE FAITHFUL IN HEAVEN.

Breakfast at McDonald's

A story forwarded by some friends to my email

This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until
the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):

The story itself... hepi riding

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my
college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology.

The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every
human being had been graced with.

Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their
reactions.

I am a very friendly person and always smile at e veryone and say hello
anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I
went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning.

It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son.

We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden
everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did.

I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up
inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible 'dirty body' smell, and there
standing behind me were two poor homeless men.

As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was 'smiling'.
His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for
acceptance.

He said, 'Good day' as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.

The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I
realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed
gentleman was his salvation.

I held my tears as I stood there with them. The young lady at the counter
asked him what they wanted. He said, 'Coffee is all Miss' because that was
all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm
up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out
and embraced the little man with the blue eyes.

That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging
my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more
breakfast meals on a separate tray.

I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a
resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the
blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.

He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, 'Thank you.'

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, 'I did not do this for you.
God is here working through me to give you hope.'

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat
down my husband smiled at me and said, 'That is why God gave you to me,
Honey, to give me hope.'

We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of
the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure
Light of God's sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in
hand.

I turned in 'my project' and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at
me and said, 'Can I share this?'

I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class. She began to read
and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share
this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my son, instructor,
and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a
college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:

Unconditional Acceptance:

Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read
this and learn how to

LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

The Mahathir years

WIDE ANGLEBy HUZIR SULAIMAN

In the second segment of Ruling the Rulers, an analysis of the challenges faced by the Malay Rulers over the years, Wide Angle examines the post-Merdeka period.
THE 1960s, although a tumultuous decade for many other reasons, was relatively quiet in terms of intervention by the Malay Rulers in matters of administration and politics.
The relationship between the Sultans and the Alliance Government was still benefiting from the effort both parties had been obliged to make to find common ground in the run-up to their negotiations with the British in 1956.
(Eventually, the Rulers had been persuaded to drop their opposition to the granting of citizenship to non-Malays born in Malaya, a provision insisted on by the British, championed, naturally, by the MIC and MCA, and accepted by Umno only with a certain amount of trauma.)
But the honeymoon period of the new constitutional monarchy couldn’t last forever.
By 1981, when Dr Mahathir Mohamad succeeded Hussein Onn as Prime Minister of Malaysia, the country was in the giddy throes of a surge in royal activism.
The period from 1977 to 1983 saw several Sultans make their presence felt in the political arena to a far greater degree than had been previously seen.
The close of Hussein Onn’s premiership saw conflicts between several Sultans and Mentris Besar erupt into the open.
In 1977, the Sultan of Kelantan attempted to intervene in a crisis caused by the deteriorating relations between PAS and Umno (then in a short-lived alliance).
The Sultan attempted to postpone the dissolution of the State Assembly following a vote of no confidence in the Mentri Besar, in order that a replacement MB could be found from PAS without elections being called.
Unrest followed, which was ample pretext for the Federal Government to declare a State of Emergency in Kelantan. In the subsequent State elections, Umno came to power, a situation that the Sultan had been trying to avoid.
Things were heating up elsewhere, too. In 1977 the Sultan of Perak ostracised his Mentri Besar to the point that he was forced to resign. In 1978, the Sultan of Pahang rejected the Umno nominee for MB and, in 1981, the Sultan of Johor forced his MB to resign after 14 years in office.
We cannot know with any certainty what the new Prime Minister’s attitudes were towards the Malay Rulers when he assumed office in 1981 in the midst of this burgeoning atmosphere of royal assertiveness.
However, in Paradoxes of Mahathirism: An Intellectual Biography of Mahathir Mohamad, Khoo Boo Teik argues that “Mahathir was not necessarily an out and out ‘anti-royalist’. He found heroes in strong modernising sovereigns such as Peter the Great and the Meiji Emperor but his attitude towards the Malay royalty was less admiring.”
Khoo notes that “Mahathir’s disdain for the Malay rulers had ? been expressed in oblique criticism before.
“C.H.E. Det (Mahathir’s pen name in the late 1940s) had cast the 1949 conflict between the Malay royalty and the nascent Umno leadership as a conflict between ‘rulers and rakyats’. Then, C.H.E. Det stood with those who thought that the rulers had either to yield to the wishes of Umno and its supporters or to forfeit the loyalty of the Malays.”
What is almost certain is that Dr Mahathir would have been aware that the independent-minded Sultans of Perak and Johor were the two most likely candidates to become the next Agong in 1984.
Indeed, their Highnesses were shortly to demonstrate their autonomy in ways that led to a measure of public distress.
In 1982, the Sultan of Perak, in his capacity as Head of Religion in his State, looked at the two permissible methods used to calculate the timing of Hari Raya Puasa, and chose the one different from that used in the rest of the country.
That year the fasting month ended a day earlier in Perak, disrupting travel plans and inadvertently making it a rather stressful holiday for the Malay community.
The following year, both the Sultans of Perak and Johor used the alternate method, and their two States celebrated Hari Raya a day earlier than the rest of Malaysia.
Some commentators have suggested that the distress of the “variant Hari Raya” prompted Dr Mahathir’s subsequent desire to concentrate administrative power in the Federal Government.
But R.S. Milne and Diane K. Mauzy, in Malaysian Politics Under Mahathir, citing interviews with Umno ministers, suggest that what became known as the 1983 constitutional crisis “was precipitated by reports, received by Mahathir, that the Sultan of Johor stated at a gathering that when he was elected Agong he would unilaterally declare a state of emergency, and with the aid of the army, throw out all the politicians.
“Compounding this were stories that the Sultan was close to certain key military men, and that the army chief, General Tan Sri Mohd Zain Hashim, had criticised Mahathir’s approach and had questioned where the army’s loyalty rested.”
Whatever the case may be, on Aug 1, the Government brought the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 1983 before both houses of Parliament, and it was quickly passed.
The bill put forward 22 amendments to the Federal Constitution, including three very significant changes to the position of the Malay Rulers.
First, it removed the need for the Agong to give his Royal Assent to a piece of legislation before it could be gazetted as law. Instead, it stipulated that if the Agong did not give his Assent within 15 days, he was deemed to have done so, and the law could come into effect.
Second, it introduced parallel provisions removing the need for a Sultan to give his Assent to State laws.
Third, it transferred the power to declare an Emergency from the Agong (who was, in any case, supposed to act on the advice of Cabinet in this regard) directly to the Prime Minister, who was not obliged to act on anyone’s advice.
The Prime Minister’s Department had ordered a press blackout on the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 1983 and, so, while the fact of the bill’s passing was mentioned, its significance was downplayed, and the debate – including an impassioned speech in opposition to it by DAP’s Lim Kit Siang – did not appear in local media.
For the following two months, nothing appeared. But a right royal storm was brewing.
Immediately, the liberal intelligentsia opposed the provision that allowed the Prime Minister to unilaterally declare an Emergency.
On Aug 2, 1983, Aliran issued a statement condemning the Bill, claiming the proposed amendment “opens the way to political abuse. For the Prime Minister is, in the ultimate analysis, a political personality very much involved in the conflicts and compromises of party politics. There is no constitutional mechanism for ensuring that he will not use his emergency powers against his political foes from any quarter.
“It is simply not possible to prevent an ambitious Prime Minister in the future from emerging as a ‘supremo’ after the proclamation of an emergency.”
But, under the strict press blackout, it was not reported.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the public, the Agong, under pressure from his fellow Rulers, refused to give his Assent to the Bill.
The Rulers maintained that the Bill contravened Article 38(4) of the Constitution, which stated that “No law directly affecting the privileges, position, honours or dignities of the Rulers shall be passed without the consent of the Conference of Rulers.”
The Rulers had also come to understand the full legal implications of removing the need for Royal Assent to legislation. It meant that if Parliament voted to abolish the monarchy, the Rulers would be powerless to stop them.
Tensions continued to build behind the scenes. It was only in October, when Senu Abdul Rahman circulated a letter condemning the amendments, followed by Tunku Abdul Rahman defying the gag order by writing about them in the pages of this newspaper, that Malaysians woke up to the crisis.
There were also disagreements within Umno; as Gordon P. Means notes in Malaysian Politics: the Second Generation, “? many in the ruling coalition were distressed by the contents of the amendments and the confrontational style of Dr Mahathir towards the Malay Rulers.”
Some establishment figures believed the Prime Minister had far-reaching aims. In a 1988 interview transcribed in K. Das & The Tunku Tapes, Tunku Abdul Rahman and the veteran journalist discuss the constitutional crisis.
If one can look past the bitchy, surat layang (poison pen letter) tone of their stories about Dr Mahathir’s children, one can get a snapshot of the groundswell of suspicion.
Tunku: “You see, the Malays have a cause for adat, resam and so on ? tradition. I have a respect for it but he has none. He dislikes it. You see, his whole aim is to upset the constitution and turn this country into a republic. His son was in London talking quite openly amongst the students that his father is going to be the first President of Malaya.”
Das: “I head his daughter was also talking about it here ? Apparently she was caught talking about it at a party not knowing that behind her was one of the Tengkus from Negri Sembilan who overheard it. She said that as soon as the constitution amendment is signed, it is finished, we can become a republic.”
Against this background of suspicion, the 1983 constitutional crisis spilled out into the open, and the conflict grew even more intense.
In the next instalment of Ruling the Rulers, Wide Angle will look at the propaganda war and the resolution of the crisis. And, the other crises that lay in wait for Dr Mahathir and the Malay Rulers.
